The FMS Rumble on the Reef skateboarding event has just re-signed to remain in Mackay

Save the date! 26-27 September 2025

We’re locked in for 2025 for the biggest skateboarding event of the year.
The FMS Group Rumble on the Reef event has been a mainstay in Mackay since 2018.

The event started as the QLD Championships, which quickly turned into the national championships and is now part of a national tour, attracting skateboarders from Asia and all across the Pacific.

Over 8 skateboarders at Paris 2024 have competed at Mackays Iconic Sugarbowl

After last years success, We’re pleased to announce the skateboarding event has renewed it’s agreement with the city, Mackay Regional Council.

Young girls like Tayah Payne (Centred) became the #1 ranked in the womens in 2024.

BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER

Huge announcements in skateboarding in Australia soon will take the Iconic event to a whole new level.

The Lineup, atmosphere, coverage and experience will all grow significantly after the post Covid recovery and a boost in skateboarding post Olympics.

All eyes will be on Mackay for 2025

LOVE FOR THE REGION

We’re going to see 4 grassroots community programs in the week leading up for Mackay locals with the Rumble Roadshows taking place around town as part of the festivities, expect to see your favourite competitors along the way out in the community.

The FMS Group Rumble on the Reef has become a home for skateboarders in Australia and across the world.

2025 Steps it up

With the top skateboarders line up, a tighter schedule and 2 main event days in Mackay, the event will have many new features to improve the experience for locals. This includes for the first time the event being ticketed. As a big thank you to Mackay and the communities that have supported skateboardings growth, tickets are 100% free, to allow access to people of all Socio-economic backgrounds
